But thanks for trying though. ^_^ I just joined and am impressed by everyone's knowledge! So the book i'm trying to remember is set in Victorian England. It had 4 different stories written by four separate authors but the stories were linked together with common events. One hero overheards the heroine in a crowded ballroom who refuses to say nasty things about other girls Midwinterblood. Its about a girl named magdelena who very young fell in love with this "thug" whom I cant remember his name, I know his brothers name was linc, she got pregnant and married a rich guy because he could give her everything for her baby, but he ended up being very abusive and beating her all the time, years later the love of her life comes back in her life and tries to take her back but they try to sneak away and the guy she is married to is trying to kill her for trying to leave!! uggh my favorite book and i cant remember and or find it Hi mamalaz, I had read the description of the malloren book and that's not it pdf. This has been driving me nuts for years (as I no longer have the book). Again not sure if it was a romance, but I vaguely recall there was some serious sexual tension between the servant and the young lady (that's why I'm thinking she was more in her early twenties...of course I was a teen myself at the time and could have read that totally wrong...) Ok so I'm thinking of a book pretty sure it's historical but not positive The Heiresses #6: A Father's Sins. When Editorial Director Erika Tsang was in the 8th grade, her Health Education teacher confiscated the Nora Roberts romance she’d been reading under her desk during class. Then he wrote in her yearbook: “May you start reading healthier books”. Taking that to heart, she began her career at a medical publisher where she had to catalog 4-color photos of things she’d rather forget about Maid of Deception (Maids Of Honor Book 2).

Is a man with Fabio-locks in the Middle Ages any less offensive than a red silk nighty in Regency England? I think they’re both problematic, both a betrayal of the entire point of the genre, but clearly my perception of the genre as HISTORICAL romance is not universal. My friends, I think, view it as historical ROMANCE (I’m guessing these types of books are the ones so often labeled “wallpaper historicals” in reviews and reader discussions; the label is used pejoratively, but clearly their strong showings on “the lists” backs up my friends in their assertion that readers like this sort of thing) Afterlife (Book 3) (Parallon Trilogy) online.
