I LOVE the sound it makes and even though it's hard to play I fell in love with it. This "pumping" action loosens most of the dirt. This is the bass instrument of the brass family, is non transposing and written in the bass clef. More tuba players have won orchestral auditions on PT6s than any other model. If you need a stand that needs to go up and down a lot, consider a Wenger Classic 50 music stand. The bell is a 2RVET7, slide is a TW47YG (yellow top tube, gold bottom tube) and the valve is a Spanish made BOSC valve.

March Intercollegiate Trombone 2

This page explains the different types of trombones. There are many different types of trombones that are used in a band. This is the lowest trombone of all trombones. It can reach the same pitched notes as the tuba. Very similar to the tenor trombone but it has a larger width. This trombone includes a very large bell to get a deep and smooth tone. This trombone is the most commonly used and most preferred trombone for all players of this instrument Concerto in Bb, transcribed for Euphonium (or Trombone) and Piano. His hobbies include reading, watching "Game of Thrones", running, taking notes on Grant’s erratic behavior, playing Euphonium, and teaching. He is very excited to enter his second year with the Northwestern trombone studio. Mary is a passionate beer enthusiast with a penchant for single-serving mug cakes and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Internationally renowned within the Northwestern Trombone Studio community as a baker of cookies, cakes, and pies, Mary provided exquisite delicacies for studio class each week during the 2009-2011 academic years Concertino for Bass Trombone & Wind Ensemble. By the 18th century, its popularity considerably increased, and it was given the more dignified name of trombone. Later on in the 18th century, with the advent of valves for musical instruments, valve trombones were first made. The valves, however, had inherent idiosyncrasies in pitch so could not compete with the infinitely variable pitch of the slide which could be played in perfect tune, Thus, the early valve trombone was not popular until more acoustical knowledge was developed to place valve instruments more nearly in pitch with themselves March Intercollegiate Trombone 2. Their tone quality, therefore, is a unique blend of woodwind and brasswind properties, very pure and lacking in overtones; it was considered to be the instrument which sounded most like the human voice. It is not at all surprising that these instruments, throughout their long and distinguished history, were used to support unobtrusively the voices in church choirs; the serpent, the contrabass member of this family, survived in this capacity until well into the nineteenth century Benvenuto Cellini, H 76 (Act I): Trombone 2 part [A4011].

I had a student who bought a clarinet stamped with made in , from JC Penney; although it sounded basically like a clarinet should, we soon found that the keys were bending under normal use. As the one-time owner of an Amati trumpet I found that the tuning slide tubes were not parallel and that the body would dent at the slightest impact. You may find softer metals that dent more easily than they should, lacquer that scratches or peels easily, or weak solder joints that break Des Sängers Fluch, Op.139: Trombone 1, 2 and 3 parts [A5796]. Price is $2400 REDUCED Conn 6H .500" jazz tenor trombone from the 1920s. It's a good player and has a smaller bell than later 6Hs from the '50s and '60s. Slide action is decent, but it's the old style nickel plated tubes with soldered on stockings... will never be as good as a modern slide Symphony No.3 'The English': Trombone 3 part (Qty 2) [A6356].

I'm not sure how many of these were made, but pretty certain it was only one or two. The mode 1670 was designed with George Roberts to be similar to a vintage Conn 70H. It features a similar bell taper and tuning in the slide design. This particular model uses a Holton 169 idea of a removable 2nd D valve that plugs into the F attachment tubing. This allows for the 2nd valve to be optional, giving the performer a "2 in 1" model bass trombone The Snow Maiden (opera) (Dance of the Tumblers (Act III)): Trombone 1, 2 and 3 parts (Qty 2 each) [A7889]. This particular instrument is in very good condition. It was built in the 1930s and shows no signs of serious repairs or damage. The lacquer is about 80% intact and has patina to a beautiful honey color. The valves seal well and have a lot of life in them left. $5000 with case REDUCED Here's a nicely restored vintage Bach Bass Trumpet Four Pieces from Opus 11 for Trombone and Piano by Zoltan Kodaly, arranged by Ralph Sauer. Unsrew the top valve from the valve casing, and pull the valve out in a straight line. Apply valve oil, coating the entire valve. You may want to first wipe off the valve to remove debris before applying new oil. Do not oil your valves from the bottom caps. Slide grease keeps slides airtight and maintains smooth movement. Vaseline should never be used because it is corrosive to brass Praise & Worship Hymn Solos: Trombone/Baritone Play-Along Pack. Many of the intervals between pairs of the higher harmonics are, shall we say, less usual harmonies. In our example, the seventh lies about half way between A and A# (note the half sharp symbol on this and the preceding graphic) in the equal tempered scale. Similarly, the eleventh harmonic is approximately a half sharp fourth on the scale. On baroque trumpets and horns, the player adjusts the intonation to bring these 'out of tune' notes into more familiar scales, as Paul Plunkett does in the example above Trombone Concerto. SOLD Professional model from Kanstul, similar specs to a Conn 10H, .500" bore slide with solid copper bell. The bell had some minor damage that was rolled out. It's a rare model that I'm not sure is in production anymore Eugene Onegin, Op.24: Trombone 3 part [A2338]. It's a strong horn with a lot of character, a beautiful upper register and an even blow and response. SOLD Vincent Bach moved from the Mt Vernon, New York factory in 1965 Sessions in Sound - Trombone - Book 2. The modifications done to this horn pertain to the slide. It has been slightly narrowed to take a rounded King slide crook, as well as been made into a lightweight brass slide. It is in very good condition and the bell is quite nice, as well as unlacquered with a beautiful patina. $1100 with cronkhite gig bag L'italiana in Algeri (Act II, Finale: Dei pappatacci s’avanza il coro): Trombone part (Qty 2) [A4956]. It's in amazing condition, pretty much the cleanest original Williams I have seen The only blem being some lacquer spots around the back bow. Another unique feature, this trombone comes with the original case and the original Williams mouthpiece yes you heard me, the original WILLIAMS MOUTHPIECE Athalie, Op.74: Trombone 2 part (Qty 2) [A5247]! Some of the best classical brass recordings I’ve made at home was done using the ribbon plus condenser technique previously described. I placed the ribbon in the bedroom where I was playing and the condenser in the hallway, with the stairwell. I panned the tracks and, with no EQ or effects at all, had some great natural sounding trumpet tracks. If you are recording more than one player at a time, try allowing some mic bleed Patience (Act I, Song: When I first put this uniform on): Trombone 2 part (Qty 7) [A3745]. Ideal for versatility it's great for concert bands, Om-pah bands, orchestras, bar-mitzvahs, and of course the circus band. In all seriousness, this is a great all around BBb tuba that is easy to play, has great intonation and is well made. Would be a nice choice for the working doubler, advanced student or weekend warrior. In good used condition with a few cosmetic dings of love and some contact wear in the lacquer Fontane di Roma: Trombone 2 part (Qty 2) [A7920].
