Latin has remained the official language of the Roman Catholic Church and as such has been in constant use by most Romance speakers; it was only within the last half of the 20th century that church services began to be conducted in the vernacular. I think the story might have been the second in a series because it makes references to a time when the Hero pretended to be his friend who is a King so that when the King went to meet his intended bride he could get to know her without her knowing he is the one she is supposed to marry. Also, I remember the book cover being blue Ruse & Romance (The Beaucroft Girls Book 1). I remember that the heroine of the story was running from someone, I want to say a family member, and she settled down in a small town. I remember she was taught to shoot a gun by the hero and she was auctioned off along with a fruit basket because she was single A Gift for Fiona (The Love Letters Series Book 2).

The Madman's Daughter Trilogy: The Complete Collection: The Madman's Daughter, Her Dark Curiosity, A Cold Legacy

It would appear that the readers care more about whether the novel is successful as a romance—in the telling of a page-turning love story—than whether the characters actually ever lived or not. Another distinction between historical romance and historical fiction is this: there are many historical romances set in America, and many that are set in the 19th century (post-Regency) world, whether in Europe or the United States Find Me Where the Water Ends (So Close to You Trilogy). The Marquess of Rotherstone has decided it’s time to restore the family’s good name. But as a member of the Inferno Club, he knows there is only one way to redeem himself in Society’s eyes: marry a lady of impeccable beauty and breeding, whose reputation is, above all, spotless The Lucky Ones (Bright Young Things). I am looking for a book that may have been a Harlequin, but I am not postive. They hero and heroine are both ranchers or own farms. He is successful, she is not so successful. She works as his part time secretary to help make ends meet Bridget (The Bridget Series Book 1). I've been hunting for this book for 3 years. It's about a woman who's occupation is making other people's fantasies come true Strange and Ever After (Something Strange and Deadly Trilogy). It starts out with the hero imprisoned in a house. He has been 'interrogated' by the Jacobite (?) rebels for information The Girl from Everywhere. Simon stepped in front of her cutting off any escape. “Come now, Cynthia. Do you tell me you wait for a ghost and that you do not get lonely?” He reached out and touched her face with the back of his hand, a gesture so intimate in nature that it made Cynthia step backward White Heat (The Perfect Fire Trilogy). Of course, if she hadn’t given her heart to her brother’s best friend, who’d also sworn off matrimony as a teen, she might not be in this predicament. Opportunities for love long lasting had come and gone, due to her tunnel vision on the subject. At twelve years of age she’d decided that Nikolas Janiszewski was the one. And that childish certainly had rooted deep and flourished with time A Little in Love.

If anyone could help that would be great, thank you :) I have never read. The book is about a young woman (english?) who receives a letter from her father about some land. She travels to America(pretty sure it takes place in texas, but possibly the midwest) to track down her father, whom she hadn't seen for years Wolf by Wolf.
